Welcome! I am studying classical guitar at Brock University in St.Catharines, Ontario.
I am available to perform at private parties, events, and weddings.

Lágrima (meaning teardrop) is a romantic prelude.
Francisco de Asís Tárrega y Eixea (1852–1909) was a Spanish composer and classical guitarist of the Romantic period. He is considered "the father of classical guitar", and promoted placing the guitar on the left leg, which has since become the standard.
I performed several pieces at the
Oggi Bistro open mic on 2022-08-11.
Here, I am playing Joropo from Suite Del Recuerdo by José Luis Merlin.
This piece blends the traditions of Andalucian flamenco with sounds of impressionism and Spanish folk music, and uses the flamenco rasgueado (multi-fingered strum) as well as percussion and harmonics. The fandanguillo ("little fandango") was originally a lively dance that can be traced back to early 18th century Spain.
Turina dedicated this piece to Andrés Segovia "el maravillo artista con un apretado abrazo" - with a big hug!
Elogio de la Danza - II Ostinato - Leo Brouwer
This is my audition to get in to the Brock University music program - it was successful!
My classical guitar was made by Bruce West in 2019, number 2 of that year.
The front is spruce, either Adirondack or European,
probably from a specific tree in the Swiss Alps that went to England around 1920, was sliced and air dried, and then brought to Canada in the 1970s.
The back is made in three parts: the centre is Brazilian rosewood and the two flanks are Indian rosewood.
Inside, black willow (very light with tight grain) was used for the tail block and the linings (the strips connecting the body edges),
which were bent without kerfing (notches that add flexibility).
The rosettes around the soundhole and purfling along the edges are both hand made from natural woods with no artificial dyes.
